Community‑Based Therapist
Provide therapy to youth and families in community settings, primarily in the families’ homes, with a mix of in‑office and community work. Candidates must reside locally and be willing to travel up to one hour to service areas.
OverviewPassion for working with children and families, empowering them through strength‑based behavior change. Training in Multisystemic Therapy (MST) will be provided, and therapists collaborate with families, youth, communities, and agency staff to address criminal offenses, substance abuse, and other challenging behaviors.
Duties & Responsibilities- Provide direct clinical treatment using the MST model and principles.
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients and families to inform conceptualization.
- Work comfortably with a diverse community of clients and possess knowledge of local families.
- Engage primary caregivers and community agency staff (school, probation, child welfare) in change‑oriented treatment.
- Dedicate time to weekly case planning and evaluation of case progress, with ongoing support from supervisors and team members.
- Receive regular training, professional development, supervision, and consultation to acquire extensive clinical skills within MST.
- Ensure clients have access to 24‑hour/day, 7‑day/week support as needed.
- Master’s degree in clinical or counseling psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Professional licensure in a related field (LMSW, LPC‑A, LMFT, LCSW, LPC) required.
- Experience serving families in community‑based programs.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Willingness to work with families in their homes.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to adapt interventions to family strengths.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license, current insurance, clear driving record.
- Clear criminal background check.
- Must live within one‑hour travel time from designated service area.
- Clear drug screen results from organization’s medical facility.
LPC/LPCA ‑ MST Salary $51,614 Annually
