The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, providing support for other imaging technologists as needed, and helping to facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. The MRI Technologist will demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed or required.
Responsibilities- Perform all imaging procedures to assist in patient throughput within the scope of licensure and competencies.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care as required by regulatory entities.
- Meet expectations of applicable competencies, demonstrating adherence to core values.
- Promote staff growth, development, and engagement by collaborating with management and coworkers.
- Provide meaningful assistance to radiologists and referring physicians to promote exceptional satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot basic maintenance tasks and report any equipment malfunctions appropriately.
- Participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advancements within scope of licensure.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adapt assessment and care methods to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent is required.
- 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
- Basic computer experience is required.
- ARRT or ARMRIT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) is required.
- State licensure is required if in New Mexico.
- BLS certification (AHA only) is required.
This position requires a rotating schedule of 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM / 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM.
