Key Responsibilities

• Interview patients with empathy to gather medical information and measure vital signs, weight, and height.
• Record patients' medical history and vital statistics with precision in medical records.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing with care.
• Assist physicians with examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort.
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms for patient examinations with attention to detail.
• Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and proper disposal of contaminated supplies.
• Communicate with clients regarding test results and health concerns, providing clarity and reassurance.
• Perform phlebotomy and administer medications as ordered, contributing to patient wellness.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient care to maintain high standards.
• Manage exam room supplies and adhere to safety protocols diligently.
• Participate actively in the Performance Improvement Program to enhance service quality.
• Promote a respectful and professional environment for both patients and team members.
• Work collaboratively within a primary care medical home model, fostering teamwork.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS/CPR Certification required.
• Up to one year experience.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
• Basic front desk, clerical or healthcare support specialist skills/experience.
• Ability to work with clinical staff, works well under pressure, and multitask within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to the concepts of preventive health care and team approach to health care delivery.
• Experience working with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Phlebotomy skills preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records, preferred.
