PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Coordinate and administer the District's employee leave programs in accordance with established policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Provide accurate, timely communication and guidance to employees and supervisors regarding leave eligibility, absences, and return-to-work processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Knowledge of leave administration and applicable employment laws
- Ability to interpret policies and effectively communicate information to individuals and groups
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in typing, keyboarding, and records management
- Ability to use a personal computer and related software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and documents
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in human resources, insurance, or a closely related field
- School district experience preferred

Mental Demands
- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Work with frequent interruptions
- Prolonged sitting. Occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, ad twisting.
- Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse. Occasional reaching.
- Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
- Prolonged use of computer
- May work prolonged or irregular hours
