DuGood Credit Union is seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused Human Resources Assistant to support our HR team, with a primary emphasis on recruiting and onboarding
. This role also provides valuable hands-on learning in payroll, benefits, HR systems, and general HR operations

What You’ll Do- Support full-cycle recruiting for exempt and non-exempt roles
- Create and post job openings using approved sourcing strategies
- Source, screen, and engage candidates across multiple platforms
- Coordinate interviews and communicate with candidates to maintain a positive experience
- Complete pre-employment vetting and documentation
- Process new hires in HR systems and assist with onboarding and orientation
- Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing, reporting, and audits
- Support employee status changes in HRIS systems
- Assist with benefits enrollment and ongoing benefits administration
- Help maintain accurate employee records and HR databases
- Support performance review processes
- Maintain employee personnel files in compliance with record retention requirements
- Prepare HR reports, spreadsheets, and documentation
- Assist with HR forms, procedures, job descriptions, and intranet updates
- Order and distribute name tags, business cards, and apparel
- Provide exceptional service to employees and internal stakeholders
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all HR and employee-related information
- Cross-train in additional HR functions as needed
- Previous experience in high-volume recruiting or managing multiple requisitions required
- Prior experience in HR administrative support or basic HR functions required
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn and apply HR compliance and employment practices
