We are seeking a motivated and dependable IT Support Intern to assist with day-to-day break/fix support for end-user devices and IT equipment. This role provides hands‑on experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues in a fast‑paced business environment. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, eager to learn, and interested in building a career in IT support or infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first‑level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve break/fix issues related to hardware (PCs, monitors, peripherals), software (Windows OS, Office applications, standard business tools), and connectivity (network access, VPN, Wi‑Fi).
- Assist with device imaging, setup, and deployment for new and existing employees.
- Perform basic repairs and component replacements (RAM, hard drives, cables, etc.).
- Document issues, resolutions, and procedures in the IT service system.
- Support user account setup and basic access requests.
- Help maintain inventory of IT assets and equipment.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff as needed.
- Assist with IT projects, upgrades, and office moves as assigned.
Required:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, computer hardware components, and networking fundamentals (IP, Wi‑Fi, VPN basics).
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple requests.
Preferred:
- Previous internship, coursework, or hands‑on experience in IT support.
- Familiarity with ticketing/help desk systems.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 environments.
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional communication (written and verbal).
