Position OverviewThe Project Manager will oversee engineering and consulting projects from conception through completion. This role requires a blend of strong leadership, technical knowledge, and project management skills to ensure that all projects are executed effectively, meeting client expectations and adhering to budgetary and timeline constraints.
Key Responsibilities- Project Leadership:
Manage and lead engineering and consulting projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives. - Planning & Execution:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including defining scope, setting objectives, and establishing deliverables. Oversee project execution and ensure adherence to plans. - Client & Stakeholder Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication to manage expectations and address any concerns. - Budget & Resource Management:
Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting. Allocate resources efficiently and manage project teams. - Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and issues early in the project lifecycle. Develop mitigation strategies and manage project risks proactively. - Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular project reviews and audits. - Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation. Provide regular updates and reports to clients and senior management on project progress, performance, and changes. - Process Improvement:
Continuously seek opportunities to improve project management processes and methodologies. Implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (advanced degree or certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within an engineering or consulting environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering and consulting projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Oracle Net Suite).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide project teams.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in client and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing project challenges.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary projects across various engineering and consulting disciplines.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards relevant to the engineering and consulting sectors.
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
