• NPK International Inc. is a site access solutions partner that manufactures and rents industry‑leading sustainable composite matting, and provides planning, logistics, and remediation services.

Job Summary

Based in Ridgefield, WA with responsibility for west coast operational work, supervises personnel (internal and third‑party contractors) including selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicates job expectations; plans, monitors, appraises job contributions; recommends compensation. Interacts directly with customer representatives, forecasts manpower, materials, and services, conducts on‑site inspections and handles special projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the standard operating procedures
  • Perform job walks and attend customer meetings with sales and commercial team members as required.
  • Track crew hours and approve employee time.
  • Manage profitability on site including costs and expenses.
  • Day‑to‑day management of multiple crews at multiple customer sites.
  • Upsell at the customer site and assess areas of potential opportunities to further gain business and meet customer needs; initiate any change orders when changes occur on site.
  • Ensure overall quality of work performed on site including completion of all paperwork such as pre‑trip checks, field tickets, JSA’s, and action cards.
  • Provide hands‑on training and recommend promotions to the Site Manager.
  • Manage customer expectations on site.
  • Identify operational efficiencies and process improvements.
  • Act as a key member of the Emergency Response Team.
  • Ensure safe work practices of employees on customer sites.
  • Prior experience operating heavy machinery, e.g., front‑end loaders, forklifts, material handlers, and general knowledge of diesel‑powered equipment.
  • Willingness to operate heavy machinery as detailed.
  • Mechanical aptitude and at least 5‑year background in industrial work and related fields is preferred.
  • Experience in groundwork/earth grading is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and meet the Company’s MVR requirements; CDL preferred.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Education:

    Associates Degree preferred.
  • Experience:

    4–6 years related experience preferred; 1 year experience in a senior/mentoring role.
