Job Summary
Our Truck Service team comprises nearly 3,000 skilled technicians across the United States. With more than 280 locations, TA Truck Service has a strong foundation and a forward‑thinking vision. The Truck Service General Manager leads the profit center, oversees technicians, marketing, and operations, and ensures excellent customer service. The Manager coaches the team in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy‑duty trucks and trailers, and guarantees every traveler is returned to the road better than they came.
Inthis role, you can expect to:
- Serve as a servant‑leader and inspire the team to meet and exceed performance standards, improving the Truck Service department.
- Develop a trusting atmosphere for feedback, coaching, and performance management according to company policy.
- Recruit, hire, train, and retain highly motivated employees, creating a culture of respect and recognition.
- Coach the team in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy‑duty trucks and trailers.
- Conduct visual inspections to ensure all products and services are available.
- Achieve financial objectives through effective management of people, product, service, and facility processes, focusing on revenue and profit.
- Lead payroll, accounting, inventory, and personnel documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal laws.
- Adhere to safety standards and corporate vendor guidelines.
- High School Diploma (or GED) required;
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred. - 5+ years of supervisory experience in convenience store, truck service, travel center, or related activities.
- Proficient planning and analytical skills, including understanding P&L, coverage ratio, budget, and expense reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to present business action plans and operational reports to management.
- Flexible to work nights, weekends, and some holidays in all weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license required.

Typical Physical DemandsThe role requires talking and hearing, standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, climbing, and occasional lifting up to 50 lb. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
Work EnvironmentEmployee may be exposed to outdoor elements year‑round, fumes, particles, moving parts, vibration, noise, dirt, dust, grease, oil, gas, and high‑concentrated cleaning solutions.
