Position Summary: The Regional Manager oversees the successful management and operation of assigned multifamily properties. The Regional Manager provides leadership to property level staff, assists in the development and deployment of policies and procedures, recruits, trains, develops, and supervises managers and site-based teams. Additionally, the Regional Manager is responsible for budget preparation, trending and monitoring budgets, and operational reporting to owners, investors, and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Achieve the highest possible portfolio cash flow through effective revenue management, collections, staffing, and cost control.
- Develop a detailed understanding of market conditions through analysis and recommend approaches to maximize performance.
- Assist in creating and deploying effective marketing plans.
- Monitor collections, vacancy reports, and other financial data; report performance and deploy corrective plans promptly.
- Supervise and coordinate preparation of annual operating and capital budgets.
- Communicate with owners, marketing companies, and stakeholders to align property goals and strategies.
- Participate in due diligence, capital budgeting, operations planning, and reporting for new acquisitions.
- Recruit, interview, and make hiring recommendations for supervised positions.
- Interpret, develop, and administer personnel and departmental policies as directed.
- Coordinate staffing to ensure adequate coverage and counsel employees on performance.
- Recommend disciplinary actions and oversee documentation in accordance with policy.
- Analyze policy effectiveness and recommend revisions as needed.
- Experience with Onesite/Realpage preferred.
- Demonstrated compliance expertise related to operation of mixed affordable assets.
- In-depth knowledge of standard industry practices in property management.
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Preferred certifications such as HCCP, NSP, COS, CPO, COSA, PHOS, CSPHM, ARM, CAM, CPM, CAPS.
- 3 to 5 years of Operations, Regional or Area Manager experience with hands‑on site-based management in Mixed Affordable Communities.
