Responsibilities
- Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment with direct responsibility on the shop floor supervising hourly production employees.
- Manages hourly employees, including work assignments, time, and performance management, while maintaining safety.
- Working knowledge of welding, fabrication processes, paint preparation, and assembly operations.
- Clear understanding of how quality issues impact rework, delays, and production flow.
- Tracks labor efficiency by reviewing standard hours versus actual hours and adjusts manpower or sequencing to meet production targets.
- Strong time management skills to meet build schedules, FAT dates, and ship dates while balancing material availability.
- Basic understanding of machining operations, tolerances, and their impact on fabrication and assembly.
- Responsible for material flow, staging, and kitting to prevent production downtime.
- Ability to read drawings, follow work instructions, and enforce quality standards in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
