Area Manager, Manufacturing ​/ Production Operations Manager

Airswift is partnering with a global chemical manufacturing organization to identify a Process Unit Manager (Operations Leadership) for their site in Beaumont, TX. This is a strong opportunity for an operations professional looking to take ownership of a production unit and grow into broader plant leadership within a stable, process-driven environment.

The Process Unit Manager will be responsible for leading a production unit within a continuous 24/7 chemical manufacturing operation, overseeing day-to-day activities while driving safety, production, and efficiency. This role reports directly to the operations manager and works closely with maintenance, engineering, and technology teams to ensure optimal plant performance.

• Lead a team across multiple shifts within a continuous production environment.
• Oversee day-to-day unit operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient performance.
• Drive accountability for HSE/PSM compliance, production targets, quality, and cost performance.
• Partner with maintenance and engineering teams to support equipment reliability and process optimization.
• Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Monitor operational performance and take corrective action to meet production and quality goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• Min of 5–10 years of experience in chemical, petrochemical, refinery, or process manufacturing environments.
• Prior experience leading teams within a plant or 24/7 operations environment.
• Exposure to HSE standards and Process Safety Management (PSM).
• Experience supporting production targets, operational KPIs, and plant performance.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally across operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
