Summary/Objective

The Cancer Conference Facilitator is responsible for facilitating Tumor Conferences from the beginning to the end of the bi-monthly meeting. Ensures National Accreditation Program for Breast Cancer and Commission on Cancer standards are being met.

Job Duties

* Identifies and selects breast and solid tumor cases to be presented in a timely manner for each Tumor Board.

* Prepare case summaries for each case being presented.

* Notifies Tumor Board members of meeting date and time and provides them with case presentation information.

* Complete and send out to all required providers case recommendations.

* Participates with community outreach programs and Health Fairs.

* Mentors newly certified oncology data specialist and cancer registry assistant.

Required

Education and Experience

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

1-3 years of related experience

Required License/Certifications

Current RN Licensure in the state of Texas

Oncology Data Specialist Certification
