The Nursing Clinical Manager is responsible for providing leadership for a designated patient care area. This individual has the accountability and responsibility for clinical operations ensuring that efficient and effective nursing care is provided to individuals and families in the patient care area in which they are employed. As a member of the Nursing Leadership Team, the Nurse Clinical Manager makes decisions independently and in collaboration with the Administrative Director and Chief Nursing Executive to promote the attainment of hospital goals in accordance with its mission.

Collaborates with nursing peers/faculty in nursing research and incorporates nursing research into practice. Maintains knowledge of current nursing practice and the roles and functions of their patient care team members.
Education and Experience
Graduate of an accredited nursing program BSN
3 - 5 years related experience
Required License/CertificationsCurrent RN License in the state of Texas
BLS Certification
Unit specific competencies obtained within six months of hire or transfer date
