Junior Laboratory Technician (Part-Time)
- Pay Rate: $20.00 - $24.00/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 2 months
- Location: Beaumont, TX 77701 (Onsite)
- Schedule: 32 hrs./week - 4 days on / 3 days off
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview- The Laboratory Technician (Part-time) supports laboratory supervisors and chemists by performing routine and non-routine laboratory analyses to ensure product quality and process control.
- This role is responsible for conducting wet chemistry testing, preparing samples and reagents, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation in line with standard operating procedures.
- The position plays a key role in supporting plant operations through quality assurance and control activities.
- Perform routine and non-routine laboratory testing, including wet chemistry analyses on product and in-process samples.
- Prepare and handle samples to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Operate and utilize analytical instruments to support quality assurance and control requirements.
- Conduct calibration and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Prepare chemical stock solutions, reagents, and testing standards.
- Record and maintain accurate test data and documentation in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assist laboratory supervisors and chemists in diagnosing and addressing quality issues.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain cleanliness and organization within the laboratory.
- Support continuous improvement of laboratory processes and testing methods as directed.
- Polytechnic graduate with a background in Chemical, Process, or Technical Engineering.
- Prior experience in laboratory operations or quality control systems is preferred.
- Strong understanding of laboratory testing and analytical methods.
- Computer literacy with the ability to document and manage data accurately.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
- Ability to follow procedures and work under supervision.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
