As a Security Officer - Access Gate Driver in Beaumont, TX
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, screen visitors and contractors, and maintain clear logs and communication with site teams. Your visible presence and customer‑focused approach help to deter security‑related incidents while supporting smooth daily operations.

This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license for the job state.

• Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by following access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials when directed, and documenting arrivals and departures in required logs.
• Conduct vehicle and/or package screening as directed, observe for prohibited items or unusual activity, and help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a visible post presence.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with site contacts, and preparing clear incident reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of controlled entry areas and nearby perimeter points as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A minimum of 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• A TSA issued TWIC is required.
• The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
