Overview
The Rigger is responsible for safely attaching, securing, and guiding loads for lifting and moving materials and equipment using cranes, hoists, and other lifting devices. Provides support for new and existing work within the business line. Personnel will be providing bolt-up assembly for structural components in a fabrication facility; individuals may be required to work outside. Rigger levels (I, II, and III) are assigned based on experience, skill level, and certifications in accordance with company progression standards.
Responsibilities(All levels)
- Reads and interprets instructions and documentation and plans work activities.
- Will be required to visually inspect and receive material in all-weather condition.
- Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
- Compare and see differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures, and objects.
- Selects equipment, figures layout assembly, and installation.
- Selects equipment, lay out, positions, aligns, and fits components together for installation.
