Position: Measurement Technician (BEAUMONT, TX)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the installation, maintenance, operation, and accuracy of all natural gas and/or liquid measurement and control facilities.
  • Install, inspect, test, adjust, maintain, operate, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and remove advanced measurement, control and regulation equipment, SCADA and quality equipment.
  • Detect measurement error and correct volumes as needed, providing supporting documentation.
  • Monitor gas and liquid product volumes through the measurement system, ensuring all corrections and proper qualities are applied.
  • Interpret and apply electrical and electronic schematics pertaining to EFM and measurement electronics.
  • Assess all facets of assigned facilities to ensure accurate measurement, maintaining company lost and unaccounted‑for gas and product, with a high degree of ownership aligning with corporate goals.
  • Perform audits of custody transfer and control data when necessary.
  • Oversee the construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties.
  • Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
  • Provide appropriate documentation and paperwork.
  • Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, regulatory and tariff requirements.
  • Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Execute other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education
  • Associate’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
Experience / Specific Knowledge
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, operating systems, company software).
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
  • Knowledge of safe handling practices for flammable gases, liquids, and high‑pressure systems.
  • Knowledge of electronic test instruments.
  • Knowledge of gas and liquid chromatography.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic equipment used in gas and liquid product measurement and control.
  • Knowledge of AGA, API, and GPA measurement standards.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
  • Valid driver’s license meeting company insurability requirements.
  • Commercial driver’s license may be required to operate company vehicles and comply with commercial vehicle regulations.
  • Required to achieve and maintain certifications necessary to perform job duties.
  • Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening prior to being hired.

Physical Demands
  • Must withstand extreme weather conditions.
  • Ability to use hand tools and equipment, including repetitive hand use with simple grasp and twisting motions.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, bend/stoop, kneel, and climb stairs/ladders.
Working Conditions
  • May work in low‑lit areas.
  • Must withstand extreme weather conditions.
  • Must frequently enter confined spaces, climb to and work from elevated platforms, ladders, and walkways.
  • Travel may be required depending on location and workload.
  • Available for shift work when applicable.
