Essential Job Functions
Performs a variety of tasks related to inspecting and repairing tires used on all types of equipment ranging from small cars to the heaviest of earth moving equipment; must be able to work with little supervision; dismount, repair, remount and inflate tires on all types of equipment including dual wheels and all types of rims; properly balance tires using an electronic balancing machine;
maintains necessary records and keeps adequate supply of stock.

Working ConditionsThis position requires 100% onsite work. Works inside and outside in all types of weather; may be exposed to dust, fumes, grease, automotive fluids, and loud noises. Must be available to work Monday thru Friday, 7:00 a.m.
- 3:30 p.m. and overtime as required.
Knowledge of commercial tire construction, repair and maintenance; knowledge of motor vehicle safety standards as related to tire repair.
Skills/AbilitiesSkilled in repairing heavy to light commercial tires; skilled in the use of installation tools and equipment for repairing commercial tires; ability to keep accurate records and work independently; ability to work with little supervision both in the shop and on the road; ability to dismount, repair, remount and inflate tires on all types of equipment including dual wheels and all types of rims;
ability to properly balance tires using an electronic balancing machine; ability to work effectively with other employees.
Constantly sees, hears, stands, bends, crawls; frequently stoops, squats, walks, writes by hand, uses a calculator, cleans, uses measuring equipment, uses physical dexterity, requires stamina, lifts objects weighing up to 100 lbs., climbs, reaches and pulls.
Education/ExperienceGraduation from high school or equivalent preferred. One (1) year experience in the repair of heavy to light commercial tires; including tires on heavy equipment, trucks and automobiles.
Other RequirementsMust possess a valid Class C Driver's License with a good driving record. Other state valid Driver's License equivalent to Texas Class C with a good driving record will be considered. Texas state law requires within 30 days of residency, you must possess a valid Texas Driver's License. Applicant selected for hire will be subject to a background investigation and drug/alcohol screen test.
