Job Type: Full-Time | Hourly Pay: $28–$30/hour, based on experience and qualifications

Project-based schedule; overtime, weekends, and extended hours may be required
Bengal Crane & Rigging is hiring experienced Industrial Carpenters to support civil construction, concrete formwork, foundations, and structural projects at industrial and commercial job sites throughout the Houston area.
This is a hands-on industrial construction position focused primarily on concrete forms, structural foundations, rebar, anchor bolts, embeds, shoring, and related civil work. We are looking for safety-driven craftsmen who can read drawings, complete accurate layouts, and produce quality work without constant supervision.

- Construct, set, brace, inspect, and strip wood and metal concrete forms
- Build forms for foundations, columns, walls, equipment pads, piers, and other concrete structures
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install formwork according to project drawings and specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, sketches, elevations, and layout information
- Establish lines, grades, elevations, dimensions, plumb, level, and square
- Install and position anchor bolts, embeds, reinforcing steel, tie rods, braces, and related materials
- Construct temporary structures, ramps, walkways, shoring, and supports as required
- Assist with concrete placement, screeding, finishing, patching, and repair when needed
- Safely operate saws, drills, grinders, levels, measuring equipment, and other hand and power tools
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, alignment, strength, and compliance with specifications
- Assist with material handling and other civil construction activities when necessary
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area
- Follow all Bengal, customer, OSHA, and job-site safety requirements
- Participate in safety meetings, job hazard analyses, training, and site orientations
- Perform other duties as assigned by project supervision
- At least three years of verifiable industrial, heavy-civil, or commercial concrete carpentry experience
- Strong concrete formwork and form-setting experience
- Ability to read and work from blueprints, drawings, elevations, and specifications
- Experience working with rebar, embeds, anchor bolts, foundations, and structural concrete
- Ability to accurately measure, calculate, lay out, cut, fit, and assemble materials
- Knowledge of proper bracing, shoring, form alignment, and concrete construction methods
- Experience safely operating carpenter hand tools and power tools
- Reliable transportation to Houston-area job sites
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, nights, and extended schedules when required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-craft construction team
- Strong safety awareness, dependability, and attention to workmanship
Industrial or heavy-civil formwork experience is required. Residential-only finish, cabinet, or trim carpentry experience will not substitute for the required industrial experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Four or more years of industrial construction experience
- NCCER Industrial Carpenter or related craft certification
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Current TWIC card
- Current Houston-area safety council credentials
- Experience working inside petrochemical plants, refineries, terminals, or other industrial facilities
- Experience with concrete finishing, rebar placement, rigging, or additional civil construction crafts
