Traffic Control / TMA Driver
Location: Beaumont, TX
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday (Overtime on Saturdays)
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused TMA (Truck Mounted Attenuator) Driver to join our team in Beaumont, TX. The TMA Driver is responsible for operating a company vehicle equipped with an impact attenuator to protect crews working on or near roadways. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe work environment for field employees and the traveling public.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a TMA truck in highway and roadway work zones
- Position vehicle properly to protect crews and equipment
- Follow traffic control plans and supervisor instructions
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain awareness of surrounding traffic conditions at all times
- Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors
- Follow all company safety policies and DOT regulations
- Valid Driver's License (CDL preferred but not required, if applicable)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to work extended hours, including overtime on Saturdays
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Ability to work in high-traffic environments
