Class A Yard Spotter

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Yard Driver in Beaumont, TX — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

• Weekly average pay: $1,139.
• Hourly pay: $26.50.
• Hours:
  
  42+ hours per week average.
• Paid training.
• Safety bonus: quarterly $250.
• Schedule:
  
  4‑day work week, 4 on/4 off. Start time rotates AM & PM shifts.

• Safely handle and maneuver tractor trailers on the yard and within an area on public roads.
• Comply with safety and DOT regulations, continuous training, and customer service.

• Ensure compliance with federal and/or state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Maintain accurate move and yard inventory records and other tasks as assigned.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years).
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.

• Medical, dental & vision after 30 days.
• 80 hours PTO first year, starting Day 1 (use it or get paid for it).
• Uniforms, cell phone and boot allowance provided.
• Drivers are the captain — safety decisions, job protected.
