We are seeking a Lead Shipping & Receiving Associate to oversee daily warehouse shipping and receiving operations while ensuring accuracy, safety, and documentation compliance.
Role DescriptionThe Lead Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for coordinating all inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining material traceability (including Material Test Reports), supporting inventory accuracy, and assisting in supervising warehouse workflow.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a physically demanding industrial environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesShipping & Receiving Operations
- Lead daily inbound and outbound shipping activities.
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming bolts, studs, nuts, and industrial fasteners.
- Prepare outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, BOLs, and supporting documentation.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy, damage, and quality.
- Ensure proper tagging and traceability of materials and heat numbers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.
- Enter and maintain Material Test Reports (MTRs) accurately.
- Ensure proper heat number traceability for industrial fasteners.
- Update inventory records and shipment logs in internal systems.
- Maintain compliance with customer and industry documentation requirements.
Leadership & Coordination
- Assist in prioritizing daily shipping workload.
- Coordinate with Production and Sales teams to ensure on-time delivery.
- Communicate with freight carriers and drivers to manage logistics.
- Help train new warehouse personnel on procedures and safety standards.
This is a physically active warehouse role requiring:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs regularly
- Frequent walking, bending, and climbing
- Standing for extended periods
- Working in varying warehouse temperatures
- Operating forklifts and material-handling equipment safely
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- 2+ years of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience (industrial preferred)
- Experience with fasteners, bolts, or industrial materials is a plus
- Familiarity with Material Test Reports (MTRs) preferred
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
