PRIMARY
PURPOSE:
Assist in receiving, storing, issuing and delivering of equipment, tools, and supplies and maintaining inventory control.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High School diploma or equivalent
Clear and valid Texas driver's license
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
* Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
* Ability to understand and follow detailed written or verbal instructions
* Ability to learn new software
* Ability to keep organized both physically and digitally
* Ability to perform basic math
* Ability to communicate effectively with others
Experience:
* Warehousing or inventory experience preferred
MAJOR
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
* Verify accuracy of shipments and record any discrepancies or damage.
* Receive and input data into database. Database is kept in TEAMS/Prologic.
* Tag fixed assets and input data into TEAMS/Prologic software.
* Keep accurate logs of tagged assets.
* Assist in district-wide inventory.
* Load and unload delivery trucks as needed. Unpack items and inspect shipments for damage and defects.
* Fill requisitions from stock items. Verify accuracy of orders pulled.
* Pickup and deliver materials as needed.
* Sort and store items according to established inventory systems and procedures.
* Assist in conducting physical inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies and verify against inventory control totals. Maintain inventory records.
* Requisition additional supplies from purchasing department as directed.
* Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and carrying. Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles according to prescribed safety procedures.
* Correct unsafe conditions in work area and promptly report any conditions that are not immediately correctable to supervisor.
* Inspect vehicles and equipment following established inspection procedures to identify needed repairs.
* Other duties as assigned.
EQUIPMENT USED:
* Standard office equipment including computer and peripherals; forklift or hydraulic lifting equipment; hand truck, dolly, and pallet jack; small hand tools; light truck or van.

* Work outside and inside, on slippery or uneven walking surfaces; frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust, toxic chemicals and materials, noise, and vibration; work around moving objects or vehicles; may work alone; occasional prolonged or irregular hours
* Works around machinery with moving parts
