JOB DESCRIPTION

The Shipping and Receiving position at Scallon Controls Inc is responsible for executing the shipping and receiving duties in daily operations as well as warehouse housekeeping functions and activities in support of other departments. Scallon Controls believes that each employee makes a significant contribution to our success. That contribution should not be limited by the assigned responsibilities. Therefore this position description is designed to outline primary duties qualifications and job scope but not limit the incumbent or the company to only the work identified.

It is our expectation that each employee will offer hisher services wherever and whenever necessary to ensure the success of our endeavors.

High school diploma at minimum; an ongoing or complete college education either technical or academic is preferred

• Safely operate tools equipment and machinery
• Correct unsafe conditions in work areas and report any conditions that are not correctable to Shop Lead
• Ensure daily operations such as inventory placement housekeeping order picking and material movement are conducted in a safe timely efficient manner

• Ensure inbound orders are received in an accurate and timely manner and materials are placed in the proper location after receipt This includes purchase orders inventory and returned goods
• Attend daily production meeting to be made aware of hot inbound shipments
• Notify the customer service associate and production scheduler of receipt of hot orders when received or if they fail to arrive
• Unload freight trucks
• Sign shipping manifests from freight services
• Check inbound shipments for accuracy relative to the packing slip and purchase order
• Check inbound shipments for freight damage; report as necessary
• Check inbound shipments for obvious quality issues ie new valves that are rusted cracked housings on instruments poor paint job on new actuators
• Receive shipment into business system
• Post receipt of purchase orders in business system
• Check purchase order notes for special instructions
• Scan and upload pertinent documents attach to purchase order in business system
• Mark demand packages with customer name and Scallon order number
• Tag inventory with information required on the tag or mark inventory packages with required information
• Perform inventory putaway
• Stage demand products
• For returned material fill out receiving report and attach to an Activity in the business system and assign it to the proper Inside Salesperson

• Ensure outbound orders are shipped in an accurate and timely manner and packaged properly for damage free shipment and handling
• At the beginning of each business day scan packing slips from the prior day and submit to Accounting
• Pick and ship orders that do not require assembly
• Process outbound shipments in business system
• Arrange pick uptransportation of shipments
• Fill out shipping manifests
• Utilize UPS World Ship for UPS shipments
• Print End of Day report for UPS
• Sign off on Shipping QC checklist
• Verify order accuracy of products shipped relative to the packing slip
• Check packing slip for special shippingpackaging instructions
• Securely package outbound shipments
• Mark package with customer name customer purchase order number tag number and as applicable Attention To name and phone number
• Ensure required documents are shipped with shipment
• Load outbound shipments onto carrier vehicle
• Scan and upload QC sheet spec sheet test reports and other order documents as applicable
• Log shipment onto required spreadsheet
• Enter tracking number and ship date into required fields in business system

• The warehouse area and its immediate surroundings should be kept as neat clean and debris free as possible This helps ensure employee safety by removing trip hazards providing clean surfaces for stable footing and removes obstacles for material movement It also provides for an orderly professional warehouse environment a warehouse that is routinely visited by customers vendors and employees
• Sweep floors every day as possible
• Face straighten and organize inventory on racks weekly
• Dust ceilings racks and walls for cobwebs as needed
• Keep staged palletspackages orderly and organized
• Keep forklift lanes clear
• Break down and dispose of empty boxes as needed
• Wipe down green cabinets shipping and receiving desks and coke cooler as needed
• Keep work areas neat clean and professional
• Clean and organize paint booth monthly
• Charge forklifts and fill forklift batteries with water as needed
• Keep external warehouse areas clean neat and organized
