Responsibilities
What you will do:
* Lead and Manage Projects:
Oversee all phases of transportation projects - from scoping and budgeting to scheduling, QA/QC, and delivery
* Cultivate Client Relationships:
Build trust with existing and prospective clients through virtual and in-person meetings, clear communication, and consistent follow-through
* Design Impactful
Infrastructure: Develop innovative designs for roadways, bridges, trails, and other multimodal transportation facilities
* Develop Technical Deliverables:
Prepare construction documents, including detailed plans, technical specifications, and bid packages that set projects up for success
* Navigate Regulatory Requirements:
Prepare technical reports and secure permits, ensuring environmental and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle
* Support Proposal Development:
Collaborate with the MSA team to review RFPs and contribute to compelling proposals that win work
* Mentor and Grow Talent:
Guide and support junior engineers and technicians, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative team environment
* Engage in Construction Oversight (Bonus Skill):
Apply construction management and field inspection expertise to monitor project implementation (a plus, but not required)
* Communicate with the Public:
Create and present compelling visual displays and messaging for public meetings and engagement efforts
Qualifications
What you bring:
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required
* Professional Engineer (PE) licensure (WI) is required
* 4+ years of experience in mobility or transportation engineering
* WisDOT project experience is a strong plus
* Familiarity with AutoCAD
* Proven experience - or a strong interest - in project management and client engagement
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts clearly
* A collaborative mindset and eagerness to thrive in a consulting environment
* Work Authorization
This position requires authorization to work in the United States for any employer. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
Benefits & Compensation
Salary Range: $79,000 - $126,500, depending on experience and qualifications. Candidates with significant experience may also be considered for a higher-level role with increased compensation.
