Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Long Term Care

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long Term Care position in a post-acute setting with every other weekend and holiday requirements.

Job Details

• Work in a nursing home attached to a hospital within a Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility (LTC/SNF),

• 70-bed facility with a majority of private rooms,

• Primary patient population includes dementia, frail, elderly, and rehabilitation cases,

• Typical RN ratio is 1:20 with LPNs and CNAs also staffed on unit,

• 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and holiday required,

• No on-call requirements,

• Floating to other units may be required,

• Block scheduling utilized,

• Uses ECS charting system,

• Unit employs an interdisciplinary team including therapy, social workers, and dietary support,

Job Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required by start date,

• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required,

• Minimum 1 year of experience with elderly patient population required,

• Must have clinical skills in charting, assessments, medication administration, IVs, catheters, and ostomy care,

• Two professional references are required, with at least one from a supervisor and one from a peer or supervisor in the specialty,

• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local,

• Role includes charge duties and collaboration with an interdisciplinary healthcare team,

• Pharmacy and respiratory therapy are on-site 24/7,

• Must adhere to any solid color, clean professional dress code,

• Orientation hours and content may vary depending on clinical skills,

• Must be available for at least half of holidays during the assignment,

• Former employees must have an end date at least 6 months before consideration and require hospital approval,

• All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility,
