Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Long Term Care

American Traveler is hiring a Long Term Care RN for a skilled nursing facility position in Wisconsin, requiring one year of elderly care experience and a WI or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work in a nursing home attached to a hospital in a post-acute care setting,

• Unit serves approximately 70 residents, primarily elderly individuals with dementia or rehabilitation needs,

• RN patient ratio is 1:20,

• 12-hour day shifts with every other weekend and at least half of holidays required,

• Block scheduling with supportive interdisciplinary team including therapy, administration, social workers, and others,

• No on-call responsibilities,

• Floating to other units required,

• Uses ECS EMR system,

Job Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required by assignment start date,

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA required,

• Minimum of one year RN experience in elderly or long-term care settings is required,

• Experience with clinical skills such as IVs, catheters, and ostomy care expected,

• Two professional references required, including one from a supervisor and one from a peer or supervisor,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include charting, assessments, medication administration, and serving as charge RN as needed,

• Solid color, clean, and professional scrubs required,

• Pharmacy and respiratory therapy available on site 24/7,

• Former permanent staff must have a separation of at least six months and require hospital approval for consideration,

• Time off requests must be submitted per facility guidelines,

• Local candidates living within 80 miles will be considered at a reduced pay rate,
