Job description:
OverviewThe Automotive Service Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the service department within an automotive facility. This position is responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, managing a team of technicians, and maintaining customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and service management, with the ability to lead and motivate a team while driving sales and operational efficiency.
Duties- Supervise and coordinate the activities of service technicians to ensure timely and efficient completion of repairs and maintenance.
- Oversee the scheduling of service appointments and manage workflow within the service department.
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to assess repair needs and provide accurate diagnostics.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Train and mentor service technicians on best practices in automotive repair and customer service.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback to enhance overall satisfaction.
- Implement upselling strategies for additional services, parts, or repairs to maximize revenue.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and inventory levels.
- Proficient in diesel engine repair, oil change procedures, automotive diagnostics, brake repair, and auto body repair.
- Strong experience in auto service management with a proven track record of leading teams effectively.
- Excellent upselling skills with the ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate services.
- Solid understanding of automotive sales processes and customer relationship management.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
