Material Handler - 1st shift

At Richelieu Foods we make Great Food from Great People. We are looking for a 1st Shift Material Handler.

• Transport all needed supplies correctly and on time to required line or pre-batch area.
• Communicate with internal customers to determine proper quantities and placement of items needed
• Responsible for complying Good manufacturing practices, maintaining proper sanitation and housekeeping in area.
• Properly put away any warehouse loads
• Communicate and coordinate with other Material Handlers to ensure efficient operation of the department
• Inform proper departments or supervisors of any issues or concerns
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
• Create and Receive TOP’s  POP’s if needed
• Schedule appointments  answer emails and phone calls

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 Years of consistent and safe forklift operation on a stand-up forklift
• The ability to read and understand Line schedules and material needs
• Positive attendance record
• Safe operation of stand-up and sit down fork truck
• Basic computer skills

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment is a plus.
• Previous experience in shipping and receiving is a plus.

• Ability to work cooperatively and maintain a professional working relationship with employees
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written required.
• Good organizational skills required
