Position: Production General Labor - Line 5 (2nd Shift)

Richelieu Foods, Inc. is a leading national private label and contract packing food manufacturer focused on frozen pizza. We have two manufacturing facilities located in IL and WI. We provide products to many national retailers, wholesalers, distributors, club and mass stores, as well as industrial accounts including other food manufacturers.

We have an immediate opening for Production General Laborers – Line 5 (2nd Shift) on our pizza production line. This position is located in our Beaver Dam, WI manufacturing facility.

Essential Functions
  • Responsible for effective continuous operation and change‑over of pizza production line.
  • Must be versatile to work between the crust and boxing end of the production line which may include laying pizza crust on the line, stacking pizzas and/or packing pizzas in boxes.
  • Be able to keep track of inventories, counts of ingredients, and finished products.
  • Check and communicate code dates to other workers.
  • Timely notification to Maintenance and Supervision of equipment problems.
  • Notify Supervision of actual or potential problems.
  • Must be able to follow verbal instructions from Supervision.
  • Responsible for complying with GMP’s, maintaining proper sanitation and housekeeping in area.
  • Responsible for use of required safety equipment and complying with proper safety procedures.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly and handle wood pallets up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
  • Be able to rotate to various jobs on Pizza line which may include frequent bending, twisting, lifting.
  • Other duties as may be assigned by Management or volunteered for.
  • Must be able to stand up to 10 hours per day.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

  • Ability to work under direct supervision and to follow instructions and techniques.
Work Environment
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and power industrial truck. The employee is frequently exposed to cold, wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for the duration of the production shift; talk or hear; use hands or finger to handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is infrequently required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 70 pounds.

  • Production Staff’s base schedule is Monday – Saturday rotating schedule of four to six days at 10‑hour shifts.
Universal Pay Verbiage

The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation for this role is $17.25 per hour. This role is also eligible for shift differential pay ($1.50 per hour) and overtime compensation. Benefits for this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, pre‑tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, 401K with company match, short‑term and long‑term disability, and life insurance.
