Job Location & Overview
Metalcraft, a leading manufacturer in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, is hiring welders to join a team committed to quality craftsmanship, safety, and continuous improvement.
Role Highlights- Starting pay: $17/hr+ based on experience
- 2nd and 3rd shifts available with a $2/hour premium for each

- Operate manual welding machines and automated/motion‑control robots to fabricate metal parts and frames
- Lift work pieces manually or with hoists to secure them into fixtures, or load automatic feeding devices
- Perform basic MIG and TIG welding techniques as needed, welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions according to WPS weld standards
- Inspect and measure machined work pieces using instruments such as gauges to verify conformance with specifications, inspection sheets, and customer notes
- Maintain company quality, efficiency, and productivity standards
- Ensure strict compliance with all corporate, plant, and prescribed safety regulations
- At least one year of welding experience or equivalent education (welding certificate/degree preferred); must pass a practical welding test and know basic MIG and tack‑welding techniques
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to operate machinery and motion‑control robots, including machine adjustments and automated welding (FANUC certification is a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, manuals, welding symbols, and use basic math
- Strict adherence to plant safety regulations and corporate standards
- Dependable, a good communicator with team and supervisors, and adaptable to changing daily duties
