Hourly manufacturing position Seasonal Summer Production Associate

Job Description

Wage: $22 per hour plus $2 per hour shift premium for the 2nd & 3rd shift.

Schedule
  • Sunday
    - Thursday or Monday
    - Friday (based on plant needs)
  • 1st shift: 5 AM - 1 PM
  • 2nd shift: 1 PM - 9 PM
  • 3rd shift: 9 PM - 5 AM
Primary Responsibilities / Accountabilities
  • Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances. Handle and move objects using hands and arms for handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials; perform repetitive motions and general physical activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
  • Start machines or equipment to begin production processes and operate machinery used in the process or assist machine operators. Prepare raw materials for processing, dump ingredients into machine hoppers prior to mixing. Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually or using manual or powered lifts.
  • Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas of plants and warehouses, by hand or using hand trucks or powered lift trucks.
  • Conduct and document quality checks within required structures such as weight control records, code date check sheets. Record data such as number of products tested, meter readings, dates and times of production, read gauges or charts, and other acquired data.
  • Remove products, machine attachments, or waste material from machines. Clean and lubricate equipment, wash work areas, machines, equipment, vehicles, or products.
  • Break up defective products for reprocessing; peel rework and run through salvage press continuously.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or team leader.
  • Follow FSQ requirements such as GMPs and daily/job-specific duties to support QRMP. Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards while following all company safety policies (protective equipment: safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats).
  • Obtain information by observing, receiving, and acquiring data from relevant sources; communicate with supervisors and peers via telephone, written form, or in person.
  • Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify causes of errors or defects. Analyze information and evaluate results to choose best solutions and tackle problems.
  • Operate vehicles or mechanized equipment such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
  • Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships; develop constructive and harmonious working relationships.
Work Environment /

Physical Requirements
  • Work performed indoors around industrial equipment in varying temperatures. Pace determined by equipment speed. Requires standing, walking, bending, twisting. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and use hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls.
