Welding Engineer

At Apache Stainless, we design and manufacture high-performance, custom stainless steel equipment for critical industries. We’re looking for a Senior Welding Engineer to take ownership of our welding processes—leading innovation, ensuring quality, and driving continuous improvement across the business.

• Development and qualification of welding procedures (WPS/PQR) for consistent, high-quality results
• Compliance with ASME Section IX, AWS, and applicable industry standards
• Welding process improvement efforts focused on efficiency, cost, and defect reduction
• Evaluation and implementation of robotic and automated welding technologies
• Technical leadership in metallurgy, weld quality, and troubleshooting
• Cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams
• Training and development of welding talent across the organization
• Support of audits, certifications, and continuous improvement initiatives

• 7+ years of welding engineering experience in manufacturing or fabrication
• Strong knowledge of ASME Section IX and AWS welding standards
• Experience with TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), and stainless steel applications
• Proven track record developing WPS/PQRs and supporting certifications
• Background in metallurgy, weld distortion, and defect analysis
• Ability to lead technical projects and influence cross-functional teams
