2nd shift:
Monday - Thursday 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM. Pay Rate:
Assembler I: $19.75/hour + $2.50 shift premium = $22.25/hour. Assembler II: $19.75/hour + $2.50 shift premium = $23.25/hour.

Job Summary

Assembler is responsible for performing assembly work to manufacture products in a cost effective and timely manner while fulfilling quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Validate material prior to beginning assembly
  • Review work instructions
  • Build product per specifications and within tolerances
  • Complete all clean-up and housekeeping procedures
  • Comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations including wearing all appropriate PPE
  • Uses work instructions, drawings, schematics, electronic assembly equipment to perform assembly while complying with safe and effective operation standards of all equipment and tools
  • Resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisor depending on the level and complexity
  • Suggest and implement improvements of existing equipment, designs, and/or processes to improve safety, quality, delivery and productivity (Assembler II/III)
  • Uses initiative and judgment to lead problem solving and implementing appropriate countermeasures (Assembler II/III)
  • Cross trains in multiple assembly areas and flex to other similar departments based on business necessity
  • Provide training frequently to new employees and current employees learning new work areas on work instructions/standard work
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the products they assemble and how it impacts the business
  • Continuous learning of the principles, practices, and processes of their job as changes require and similar jobs
Minimum Qualifications
  • Assembler I: Ability to perform highly repetitive assembly tasks in a manufacturing environment
  • Assembler II: High school diploma or equivalent and/or 1 year of complex assembly or related experience
  • Assembler III: High school diploma or equivalent, 2 years of complex assembly or related experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Assembler I: High school diploma or equivalent;
    Manufacturing experience, including knowledge of manufacturing processes or related experience
  • Assembler II: Experience using SAP or equivalent ERP system
  • Assembler III: Experience in root cause problem solving (5 Why, 8D, PDCA, etc.);
    Experience effectively training other employees to work instructions/standard work;
    Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP system (Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics)
