Richelieu Foods, Inc. is a leading national private label and contract packing food manufacturer focused on frozen pizza. We have two manufacturing facilities located in IL and WI. We provide products to many national retailers, wholesalers, distributors, club and mass stores, as well as industrial accounts including other food manufacturers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Purchasing & Supplier Management
    • Negotiate parts & service(s) cost, identify lowest cost alternative that meets quality requirements set by Maintenance Manager
    • Purchase parts & services used in facility/equipment preventive maintenance and upgrades in conformance to company standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and policies, including but not limited to quote obtainment, PO creation and receiving appropriate approvals
    • Maintain strong working relationships and communications directly with parts suppliers and service vendors to confirm shipping/service schedules and monitor open purchase orders for all orders to ensure on-time deliveries
  • Parts Warehousing & Inventory Management
    • Maintain equipment master spare parts list, included on hand targets levels by part. Recommend and obtain approval for changes from Maintenance Manager.
    • Maintain parts Master Data (part description. numbers, vendor cards, inventory, etc.); revise master data to ensure ERP & CMMS system is maintained
    • Ensure all parts have an identified location, are bar coded and movement transactions are recorded timely
    • Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained for parts, while maximizing turns and limiting maintenance part stock outs.
    • Follow work order process to ensure parts are checked out from the part storage room properly and consistently, in compliance with SOP’s.
    • Identify slow moving or obsolete (SLOB) parts quarterly and report to Maintenance Manager, requesting disposition
    • Conduct regular cycle count and physical inventory of all parts as requested by management
  • Reporting
    • Generate reports and analyze part usage to identify usage trends, high turning parts, and where parts are being used within the plant.
  • Control Related Responsibilities
    • Ensure that all goods and services are acquired in accordance with RFI’s current purchasing policies and procedures.
    • Develop SOP in accordance with internal controls, as defined by Corporate Controller.
Working Conditions

Standard Manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to hot/cold temperatures, moving mechanical parts and power industrial trucks.

Requires 100% onsite attendance to perform the essential functions of the role.

The following information is provided in accordance with applicable state and local laws. Compensation is based on experience, geographic locations, and other legally permitted factors. The starting hourly rate is $25.00. This position may also be eligible for overtime pay.
