Description:
The position is for a Long Term Care Registered Nurse.
The unit consists of 70 beds, mostly private.
Common diagnoses include dementia, frailty, and rehabilitation needs.
Daily responsibilities include charting, assessments, charge duties, and medication administration.
Clinical skills required include IVs, catheters, and ostomy care.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:20.
Additionally, the nurse will work alongside licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants.
The nursing staff will operate within an interdisciplinary team that includes therapy, administration, social workers, activities, dietary, and housekeeping departments.
There is a pharmacy on-site with a medication dispensing system.
Respiratory therapy is available 24/7.
Nurses are expected to participate in scheduled team conferences for acute inpatient rehabilitation as required.
There is no on-call or standby requirement.
Floating to other units may be necessary.
Professional and tidy solid-color scrubs are required for this position.
Nurses must clock in and out at the facility.
