Nursing Care For Elderly Residents
Responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to elderly residents, including those with dementia, rehabilitation needs, and chronic medical conditions. Duties include performing resident assessments, administering medications and treatments, monitoring changes in condition, and maintaining accurate documentation in the EMR system. The RN serves in a charge nurse role, coordinating resident care, supervising LPNs and CNAs, and collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
Clinical responsibilities include IV therapy, catheter care, ostomy care, wound care, and other skilled nursing procedures. The RN is expected to ensure quality patient care, respond to emergencies, and maintain compliance with facility policies and nursing standards.
