Role SummaryCareer opportunities in Distribution Warehouse Maintenance include Battery Changer, Custodial, Licensed Electricians, and Maintenance Technicians providing repairs and proactive maintenance on facility equipment.
What you’ll doAs a member of the Maintenance team, you will be responsible for repairs and preventative maintenance on Distribution Center equipment and the building. You will utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to perform work such as recording work history, identifying parts usage, and tracking warranties.

- Maintain, repair, and conduct preventive maintenance on material handling and building equipment safely and efficiently.
- Use established PM and repair policies and procedures to return equipment to fully operational status.
- Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and electronic/mechanical schematics for repairs.
- Troubleshoot complex equipment problems where the repair is not immediately obvious.
- Work as a team member with operations and other technicians to support facility maintenance.
- Utilize CMMS to understand workload and record actions such as work orders, asset history, and inventory usage.
- Communicate verbally and in writing with individuals or groups, including customers, suppliers, and associates.
- Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
- Daily perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment such as lift trucks, pneumatic systems, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, and electronics.
For Maintenance Technician positions, specific qualifications may include:
- Maintenance Technician experience; or coursework or certification in electronic technology and at least 2 years industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic technology (troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment), OR 3 years industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic technology.
For Ammonia Refrigeration Technician positions:
- 1 year of experience in industrial refrigeration or HVAC.
- Will obtain RETA Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO) and Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO) certifications within 30 months of job entry and maintain them while employed.
- 1 year experience with ammonia refrigeration.
