The Testing Operation Specialist, Beavercreek, is designed to directly support students and the Access and Retention Coordinator by preparing and administering a range of assessments, including course-related exams, placement assessments, and proficiency exams. This role ensures that students eligible for accommodations receive the necessary support through collaboration with the Office of Accessibility and faculty, as needed. The specialist is dedicated to providing trauma-informed, student-centered services and fostering a welcoming environment that promotes a sense of belonging on campus.
Additionally, the specialist is responsible for maintaining the security, confidentiality, and integrity of all Testing Center operations.
Shift: Monday-Friday; 8:00 am –5:00 pm, evenings and weekends as needed.

This position is not eligible for telecommuting.
Responsibilities- Coordinates the daily operations of the Center, including overseeing testing schedules and appointments to ensure adequate space, resources, and staffing are available.
- Collaborates with faculty and students to verify the completeness of exam materials and ensure all testing preparations are in place. Provides timely updates regarding identified issues and confirms resolution with appropriate stakeholders.
- Administers a variety of academic and specialty assessments for students with and without disabilities.
- Proctors Accuplacer assessments, manages and explains score reports, and assists students with next steps in the enrollment process.
- Manages and prioritizes a high volume of communications, including scheduling, organizing email workflows, and providing timely in-person and electronic responses to support efficient operations.
- Ensures accuracy, attention to detail, and timely completion of test preparation, administration, and return of testing materials to faculty.
- Maintains positive relationships with faculty, staff, and students by creating a welcoming and supportive testing environment.
- Works independently and collaboratively, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make effective decisions.
- Manages multiple software systems to enhance efficiency and productivity, including oversight of email accounts and utilization of technology to support operational goals.
- Creates, maintains, and monitors reports related to testing data.
- Performs office management duties, including organizing, filing, operating office equipment, maintaining supplies, and ensuring the testing area remains organized and functional.
- Maintains test security, confidentiality, and the integrity of the Center’s testing processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
One year of experience working in a fast-paced office environment preferred.
Education- A two-year degree
- Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school
- Completion of a specialized or extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program
Proctoring Certificates, Licenses, Registrations will be obtained on the job. Requires travel to multiple locations; a valid driver’s license and/or dependable transportation is required.
