This role is responsible for managing our largest, high-growth contractual customer relationship. This high volume, national account requires aa highly organized, customer focused experienced supply chain and logistics professional to ensure their exacting requirements are met on a day-to-day basis. The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder with excellent negotiation skills, a keen eye for detail, and proficient in Salesforce as well as the Microsoft suite of products.
This role is pivotal in ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and exceptional service across our logistics network.
- Responsible for fulfilment of 3rd party contract obligations and inbound supply planning management
- Procurement & sourcing: 3rd party supplier relationship and contract management, Assist in contract negotiation / renewals, identify and support the vetting of new source potentials as needed
- Relationship management:
Build strong relationships with suppliers and develop a deep understanding of 3rd party supplier production cycles and operations to best manage their ebbs and flows to ensure we are keeping plants running efficiently and to contract requirements - Manage upcoming outages for suppliers and proactively plan for supply shifts during those times.
- Curate Safety requirements for all Supply sources and ensure Logistics in compliance (including Customer pick ups)
- Demand planning:
Ensure inventory and demand forecasts align based on supply plans and commercial inputs, note deviations and build plans to ensure we mitigate risks - Drive collaboration between Logistics/Supply Chain and sales to align on large project planning calls, ensuring we are balanced and finding solutions that work best for our Customers and Mintek.
- Work closely with operations to communicate forecasts and what support is needed from terminal perspective. Align on staffing and shift needs for spikes in demand.
- Inventory management:
Track and manage inventory, including costing vs. plan; develop and report on performance metrics - Manage monthly Inventory reconciliation reporting to Accounting for LKD locations
- Team Leadership:
Manage Inbound logistics team (Maysville staff) - Continuous improvement:
Drive efficiencies in systems and models as we continue to grow and scale workflow and processes
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation coordination
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to foster trust and collaboration
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Advancedproficiencyin Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
- Customer-first mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Solid negotiation skills witha track recordof securing favorable terms
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
