Job Description:
What You'll Do
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom for children ages infant-schoolage
- Plan and implement fun, hands-on learning experiences using Creative Curriculum.
- Foster children's social, emotional, language, literacy, and school readiness skills.
- Observe children's development and document progress using Teaching Strategies GOLD.
- Partner with families and build positive relationships through daily communication and parent conferences.
- Mentor and collaborate with assistant teachers and classroom aides.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
Qualifications:
Required
- Passion for working with young children
- Dependable and professional
- Meet Ohio child care licensing requirements including background checks
Preferred
- CDA, AA in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Previous experience working with young children
- Knowledge of child development
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 35 pounds
- Work indoors and outdoors
- Ability to bend, kneel, sit, stand, and actively engage with young children throughout the day
- Ability to see, hear and physically interact well enough to keep children safe
