Digital Engineer

Our government customers want assistance with migrating legacy modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) tools, algorithms, applications, and processes pertaining to missile performance analyses into a cloud‑native Digital Engineering (DE) pipeline in a phased approach. The current phase involves converting engineering and analysis applications into containerized cloud‑native applications; the work includes converting the same applications into containerized micro‑services for use in a cloud‑native Digital Engineering workflow.

• Collaboratively identifying the applications in need of migration to our customer’s cloud architecture with our customer’s DE lead and their engineering team.
• Containerizing and deploying the identified applications to our customer’s cloud architecture.
• Experience with software development under a SCRUM framework.
• Identifying the applications not currently configured for cloud‑native operation.
• Engineering case‑by‑case solutions for configuring the previous applications into cloud‑operable variants.

• 6 to 8 years of experience in software engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience containerizing and deploying applications into a cloud environment.
• Experience developing software in the following or similar languages, tools and operating systems:
• C/C++, Python, Java
• Git, SVN, Jenkins, Jira
• Docker, Kubernetes
• Windows, Linux, Unix
• Experience applying CI/CD for software development.
• Demonstrated conscientious and collaborative work habits to help our customers adapt their engineering applications for use in a cloud‑computing environment.

• 3 to 5 years of experience containerizing and deploying applications to one or more cloud computing environments.
• Developing solutions to adapt non‑cloud‑native applications for deployment onto a cloud computing environment.
• Experience with DoD High Performance Computing Modernization Program.
• Experience deploying engineering applications into a cloud native environment (e.g. Finite Element Analysis Software).
• Certified Scrum Master.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics or related field.

• Applicants must have an active TOP SECRET clearance with Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) eligibility.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for most positions.
