K ’s National Security Solutions team provides high‑end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security. K  is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support planning, integration, test, and validation of Combat Collaborative Aircraft (CCA) systems in K ’s Government Autonomy Modeling and Simulation Environment (GAME).

The selected candidate will work closely with government, industry, and partners to assess technology maturity, develop integration strategies, and support acquisition planning for the future of the Air Force CCA program. This is a senior position in which the candidate will apply in‑depth operational expertise, leadership, and technical knowledge to support the Warfighter in CCA test and validation.

• Support simulation‑related analysis, requirements development, and systems engineering activities.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams within AF/LCMC engineering, user communities, and external autonomy experts.
• Support integration plans, interface definition, verification strategies, and test approaches for autonomous systems.
• Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including operators, engineers, and acquisition professionals.
• Execute simulations to evaluate system effectiveness or suitability under relevant operational conditions and scenarios.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for leadership with strong communication skills.
• Maintain flexibility and adaptability to accept changing roles and responsibilities in support of customers’ requirements and needs.

• Exposure to Modeling & Simulation concepts & Standards (e.g., JSE Framework).
• Experience using Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) or Digital Integrated Air Defense System (DIADS) simulator software.
• Familiarity with systems engineering processes (requirements, integration, verification, validation).
• Experience with requirements management software (Git Lab, Artifactory, Nexus), Test Management, and Defect Tracking (JIRA).
• Hands‑on experience with container technologies, including Docker and Podman, for building, running, and troubleshooting containerized applications.
• Master’s degree desired. Bachelor’s degree required. STEM degree desired.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in autonomy development, autonomous systems integration, AI/ML systems, robotics, or advanced mission systems.
• Experience with DoD acquisition or military aviation programs.

• Secret clearance
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI
• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position

• 5+ years of experience in flight test as a discipline engineer or test conductor
• Prior experience supporting Air Force programs, particularly in Fighter, unmanned systems, or advanced mission systems.
• Knowledge of digital engineering tools, modeling & simulation, and architecture frameworks (e.g., DoDAF, UAF, MBSE).

  Minimal 0–20% or as directed by mission requirements
