The Opportunity

Your engineering skills and determination are needed to develop cutting‑edge technology that supports the warfighter and maintains national security. Join an energetic team whose day‑to‑day mission involves breaking down the Air Force’s toughest challenges and communicating the essential results of that work to leadership. As an aerospace or mechanical engineer, you understand the complexities of modern aerospace vehicles. That knowledge is key when it comes to modeling fixed‑wing aircraft, rotary‑wing aircraft, and weapon systems.

We are looking for a problem solver who can use their skills to conduct detailed analyses, including missile performance evaluation and survivability analyses of weapon systems and platforms. This is a chance to hone your technical abilities on significant engineering problems while gaining experience in leadership and communication.

Responsibilities

• Build aerodynamic coefficient tables, calculate flight envelopes, and develop and refine aircraft models in Fortran, C++, MATLAB, and Simulink.

• Perform modeling tasks related to fixed‑wing aircraft, rotary‑wing aircraft, and weapon systems.

• Evaluate weapon performance and survivability of platforms and recommend tactics, techniques, and procedures to improve effectiveness.

• Conduct classified analyses for DoD clients and develop detailed models and simulations required by the Air Force.

You Have
  • 2+ years of experience with flight dynamics and vehicle performance evaluation
  • Experience coding in MATLAB, C++, or Fortran
  • Experience with Simulink
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
Nice If You Have
  • Experience with engineering and mathematics
  • Experience with modeling and simulation
  • Experience with Linux
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Secret clearance is required.

Compensation

Salary range: $69,300.00 to $ (annualized USD). This posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
