Air Vehicle Modeling and Simulation Analyst
Your engineering skills and determination are needed to develop the cutting‑edge technology used to support the warfighter and maintain national security. Join an energetic team whose day‑to‑day mission involves breaking down the Air Force’s toughest challenges and communicating the essential results of that work to leadership. As an aerospace or mechanical engineer, you understand the complexities of modern aerospace vehicles—knowledge that is key when modeling fixed‑wing aircraft, rotary‑wing aircraft, and weapon systems.
We’re looking for a problem solver who can use their skills to help perform detailed analyses, including the evaluation of missile performance and survivability analyses of weapon systems and platforms. You will also perform modeling tasks, building aerodynamic coefficient tables, calculating flight envelopes, and developing and refining aircraft models in Fortran, C++, MATLAB, and Simulink. Your work will directly impact the Air Force’s mission by helping determine tactics, techniques, and procedures to improve survivability and vulnerability against threat systems, and by informing acquisition decisions for future systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform detailed analyses of missile performance and survivability of weapon systems and platforms.
