Facility Engineer (Mechanical)
CSEngineering is seeking a Facility Engineer (Mechanical) to join our growing team! This role will provide advanced mechanical engineering advisory support for secure facility design, construction review, operations, and sustainment in a government environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep HVAC and control systems expertise, strong knowledge of mechanical reliability for mission‑critical facilities, and experience supporting secure construction compliance reviews.
Job Responsibilities- The Facility Engineer (Mechanical) will provide senior mechanical engineering review and advisory support for secure facility construction, modification, and sustainment activities.
- Review plans, specifications, and construction designs for mechanical system compliance with applicable secure facility and building code requirements.
- Provide engineering support for HVAC systems, controls, mechanical reliability, resiliency, and facility operations planning.
- Support facility maintenance and sustainment planning, execution, and monitoring activities.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain schedule objectives.
- Support code compliance efforts involving UFC, NFPA, NEC, and ABA requirements applicable to secure facilities.
- Prepare technical assessments, recommendations, and periodic reliability reporting as required.
Security Clearance:
Active TS/SCI clearance
- SAP eligibility required.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Ohio in Mechanical Engineering required.
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of mechanical engineering experience.
- Familiarity with ICD 705 construction requirements.
- Extensive HVAC and control systems design experience.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems serving mission‑critical or continuously available facilities.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
- Experience supporting mechanical reliability and resiliency engineering for mission‑critical facilities such as secure facilities, data centers, or hospitals.
- Experience performing ICD 705 compliance reviews for SCIF mechanical systems.
- Current working knowledge of UFC, NFPA, NEC, and ABA requirements as applied to secure facilities.
- Experience developing and monitoring maintenance and sustainment programs.
- Prior experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community facility projects with compressed review timelines.
