Marathon TS is seeking an AFSIM Engineer to support mission-level modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts at Wright‑Patterson AFB. This role will focus on developing, integrating, and executing simulation models to evaluate operational concepts, system performance, mission effectiveness, and trade-space alternatives.

This position supports advanced digital mission engineering efforts tied to the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Information Directorate and mission partners at the National Space Intelligence Center.

Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or a related STEM discipline.
  • Experience performing modeling, simulation, and analysis to evaluate system performance, mission effectiveness, or operational alternatives.
  • Ability to translate mission needs into measurable outcomes such as MOPs, MOEs, KPPs, CONOPS-based measures, or other mission performance criteria.
  • Experience documenting analysis methods, assumptions, data sources, and results for technical and program stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex modeling and simulation results clearly to engineering, mission, and leadership audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands‑on experience using AFSIM to build, modify, execute, or analyze mission-level simulation scenarios.
  • Experience supporting Air Force, Space Force, intelligence, ISR, aerospace, electronic warfare, missile defense, or related defense mission areas.
  • Experience supporting early mission architecture development, digital mission engineering, digital thread, or Digital Design Reference Mission-style work products.
  • Experience using modeling and simulation results to support requirements development, trade studies, system allocations, or verification and validation strategies.
  • Familiarity with Design of Experiments, Monte Carlo analysis, trade-space exploration, or statistical approaches for evaluating mission alternatives.
  • Experience with tools or languages such as Python, MATLAB, C++, STK, Cameo, SysML, or other modeling, simulation, or analysis environments.
