Mortgage Cash Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Cash Specialist to join a dynamic credit union team onsite in Beavercreek, Ohio. This is a great opportunity for a mortgage servicing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can quickly make an impact! In this two-month contract role, you will play a critical part in supporting mortgage servicing operations by ensuring payments, payoffs, and loan transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines.

What You'll Do:

• Process and post mortgage loan payments and payoffs received via mail, wire, ACH, lockbox, and online channels
• Reconcile daily posting batches and deposits to ensure accuracy and balance
• Manage escrow payments, corporate advances, suspense postings, refunds, adjustments, and charge-offs
• Handle returned payments and prepare notifications
• Research and resolve inquiries with professionalism and urgency
• Identify process improvements and collaborate with internal partners to enhance efficiency and reduce risk

• Associate's Degree in Business or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of mortgage servicing experience, preferably in cash processing or operations
• Strong knowledge of loan servicing systems and payment processing procedures
• Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and strong PC skills, including spreadsheets
• Clear, professional communication skills and a commitment to delivering five-star service
