** Dietary Aide**# ##
** General Purpose
** The dietary aide assignments are determined by the needs basis on the activity of the shift.
He/she reports to the Cook and Dietary supervisor.
*
* Key Responsibilities:

*** Assist with meal and snack preparation as directed
* Assemble trays, portion items, and help with meal service
* Deliver meals to halls
* Wash dishes, clean equipment, and maintain sanitation standards
* Stock and rotate supplies using safe storage practices
* Follow food safety guidelines, allergy precautions, and infection control procedures
* Communicate needs, concerns, or changes to the Dietary Manager
*
* Qualifications:

*** High school diploma or equivalent preferred
* Reliable, team-oriented, and respectful in a resident-centered environment
* Food service experience helpful, training may be provided
* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds##
* Language Skills
* Ability to read technical procedures.
* Ability to read and follow recipes.
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
* Mathematical Skills
* Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
* Reasoning Ability
* Ability to solve practical problems.
* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
* Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
* Must obtain and maintain food handlers’ certificate.## ##
